EOTC Week Orakei Basin

On Wednesday we went to the Orakei Basin. We got our forms for the scavenger hunt and went out to search. As we crossed the bumpy duck bridge we found some duck footprints where the water was dried up.  I got my water bottle out of my bag and "GULP!", in three seconds it was gone. We walked and walked until we reached the train station, "GAH!" We crossed the bridge in 30 mins and when we got to the end I was gasping "Oooh!"  I found a rock and Room 31 went WILD!  After that we went to the dried up lake the mud wafted up to my nose YUCK!  Meanwhile, Ben found a dried up eel and Luke found a safe. He got some oyster shells and cracked it open and we found lots of moss.  Enjoy these Pictures we took for you...

EOTC Week Extreme Edge

On  Tuesday 12th March, we went to Extreme Edge. At Extreme Edge, we first got instructed on how to clip the rope onto your harness and more safety rules. When we went there, the new section 'Adventure Land' had just been built. There were two classes, room 31 and 32 so we took turns on going in the different sections. We first were at Adventure Land. At about eleven o'clock, we changed over with room 32.

EOTC Week North Head

We are looking out the window for the Queen Mary 2
We are on North Head looking at Mt Victoria.

We are standing by the barriers of one of the guns.
We are looking down at where it used to be.

We went down into the tunnel.
This is Charlie looking through a hole.

This is the amazing disapearing gun.
It was made to shoot the enemy quickly whithout being seen.

This is the guide called mike who is showing us the caves.
They were dug out by prisoners from the Auckland jail.
